We tried it for the first time, and ordered the Arroz de marisquo (Seafood Rice Stew). One plater was enough for two adults and one child age 12 and there was still leftover for at least one more person. really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was really polite. will definitely comeback again.

Honestly, I would never write, but having had had almost the exact same meal as the reviewer who most recently posted, I could not resist from arguing the opposite! The pierogis were amaaaazing! JUICY and DELICATE and FULL of stuffing. And the price? Well, considering there are so many pierogis in one serving, and may I say, HOMEMADE pierogis, I feel that they are more than affordable. This leads me to my next point: the schnitzel. Again, a homemade, VEAL schnitzel- just melted in my mouth.... and even more so in my husband's mouth, considering he ordered it. And, in response to the other reviewer, the schnitzel is surely made of high quality veal! We had the pleasure of talking to the owner about it and she was sweet enough to tell us all the details about what it takes to prepare it. I'm telling you, it's just so difficult to find a great, healthy restaurant with homemade food in Toronto. I would recommend Amber to anyone looking for some good quality ingredients and great taste. I have been going to Sunrise Grill and Crepe for many years. It's the best breakfast restaurant out there. AMAZING food, great atmosphere, great staff and all at a reasonable price. The chef is truly a culinary artist when it comes to breakfast/brunch food. I recommend this place to everyone.

i have been going to aris since 1974 and i still go there.the food is great!!...the prices are more then fair for what you order.the owner's are very freindly,and the waitress's are fast and freindly.the atomosphere is very warm,and you feel more then at home there.i stop in for a great cup of coffee everyday,and a great meal and a cold one at least twice or more per week...i look forward to going there when i can...superb food!!!!super owner's!!!!!super staff!!!

The food was magnificent, that's the only reason we will be coming back again for sure. The atmosphere is bad: it's very dark, loud and very, very, very tight. The service isn't the greatest either. Although the waitresses are very nice, but they're in their own world sometimes walking around dreaming or changing music when customers are waiting. We've waited just for our check for about 30 minutes. I don't understand why they don't allow carry-out - they would be making tons of cash with their diamond in the kitchen. Still, with all those negative things, we will be coming back for the food.

Definitely the best bar / restaurant in the area. Great Patio in the back and very cozy atmosphere inside. This is a designated heritage building and there are old pictures of the area on the walls which is a nice touch.
The food is great and it's a mix of Italian, Mexican, American. What I like most is the open kitchen. The food is prepped in the open! It's a refreshing change from almost all other restaurants that prep food behind closed doors (makes you wonder what's really crawling in the kitchen).
The Bar has good selection on tap and there is a comfortable lounging area in the back by the fireplace as well.
If you are looking for something in this area, I would definitely recommend going here.

Came in on Yelp recommendations to get a quick bite. Turned into a gourmet experience!
Margarita- Only had better at an authentic Mexican place in Bradford (MexiCanada). Wonderful traditional flavor and properly made and presented.
Dry Rib- Excellent. Wonderful taste, not overwhelming the meat, meat done to perfection. Was told it was more spicy than the wet rib, loved the heat. Had it with a nice Malbec
Coleslaw - best I have ever had. The sauce was creamy but light and didn't overwhelm the veg. Very fresh and crunchy.
Sweet Potato Fry- done nice and dark (double fried) and still full full of flavor but no grease AT ALL. excellent job.
Atmosphere- low key, dim lights and excellent music mix. Easy to slip into an indulgent mode. Very comfortable in the diner decor and the simple bell used to signal the next order being ready.
OVERALL - WOW! Will be back. Can't wait for patio season!
