GULAB JAMUN
Literally rose plums, this sweet takes its name from its dark colour and its flavour. It is sometimes laced with 'attar' (essence) of roses. The balls of thickened milk with spicy flavours is fried a deep brown and served in syrup.
As soon as we sat down we were greeted with a friendly smile. The energy in the restaurant was positive. Dining here was a pleasurable experience. Each dish was served to perfection.
The courses were spaced out nicely so we had time to socialize a little within our party and prepare our bellies for the next perfect course. The decor could use some help it's true but it was clean and the important thing was the food. I look forward to going back another time to try some different dishes.

70 minutes after ordering our waiter came back to the table and asked me what I ordered. 95 minutes after ordering we finally got our meal, then we still had to ask for our appetizer. Some of the meal was excellent the rest, forgettable. When another server overheard us trading complaints with surrounding tables, our waiter then came back and apologized 3 different times for "forgetting" our order. I would have accepted that but all the table around us had similar if not longer waits for their meals. Good enough food, good pricing, but horrible service. I'm not likely to try it again.

We brought some friends here, never having been here ourselves... and it was AWESOME!! The dishes were full of flavour and having taken the suggestion of the server, we weren't disapointed. The dhansak was great, and we ordered another to go. Butter chicken was great. The vindaloo was hot. I mean, it was spicy, and took a while to let the burn wear off. The naan was thick and better than anywhere else I've had it. A little disaapointing that the main dishes didn't come with rice, or naan included with it. Still loved it, and would definitely go there again.
Blinding food here and I've been enjoying it since 2003. Great service, great flavours. Rogan Josh, Korma, Dhansak, Curry, whatever you choose you're bound to enjoy an education of the palette. Bishu, Paul and company never fail to disappoint.
