I am writing this in December of 2023, and I have been to the Bungalow a fair number of times over the past seven years. It is a great place to go, with great food and very good service. That being said, I call your attention to the fact that all of the other reviews on this website are AT LEAST 10 YEARS OLD and are therefore so out of date that they should be completely ignored.
No one was there to greet us, waited 10 minutes to ask an annoyed server where the upstairs was so that we could meet up with our waiting party. Drinks and Apps were good but then we waited 1.5 hours to be told our burgers would be ready in about 20 minutes. After 2 hours our burgers arrived and they were fine but not worth the wait. At 10pm we were the only ones upstairs except for the 5 servers who drinking. No one explained the wait, no one said goodbye, and no one asked if we wanted dessert (they just brought the bill). We rushed out thinking they were closing only to see they were open for a few more hours.
Used to a regular there; have the best burgs in the city. Lately the service staff have been slow, getting orders wrong, questionable attitudes. Something worth a check for their burgers but judge for yourself. I likely won't be back because of the service. Rated 3 stars only because of food quality.
Went in here early evening with a friend. A small and cozy modern restaurant with low lit atmosphere. The name is fitting.We were checking out their craft beer selection. The selection was good, and consisted of some Hop City, Sam Adams, Steamwhistle, and a couple more crafts. Nothing crazy, but a solid lineup. I wanted to try a burger, and we got talking to the waitress. We mentioned that we were interested in better beer establishments, and asked who ordered the beer. She had mentioned that it was one of the managers, and then she dropped a bomb that left me scratching my head to this day. As I said, we were talking about craft beer, and craft beer breweries, and how we like to frequent places that offer such beverages, when the waitress said "I don't know how many of those people we want to attract". Excuse me? "Those people?" The people who enjoy good beer, and are about to spend money in your restaurant? Well, you can count "this person" out of that equation cause this place is on my no-go list. I didn't order food , and left after one beer.
Very disappointing from beginning to end. Service was slow. My burger was cold, overcooked and dry. Fries were ok, if a little cold. Management was completely disinterested. Clearly, customer satisfaction is the lowest priority.
