They say that parents learn something from their kids every day. That’s certainly the case for Diane Reitano who was inspired to start her own custom design business Little Monkey Designs after creating artwork for her son’s bedroom. “When he was born I created a unique space for him, but couldn’t find any artwork I liked to match the bedding I picked,” Diane explains. “I’m a graphic designer so it was easy for me to create my own.”

“When I opened my business I started creating invites and artwork mainly because I couldn’t find what I wanted," Diane recalls. Today, Little Monkey Designs offers a variety of creative items, including growth charts, custom invitations, party decor, birth announcements and pillows, as well as logos and branding for small businesses.

Diane continues to learn from her two sons. “I think because I am immersed in a world with my kids, I’m in touch with what’s going on with current trends in the world of children’s décor,” she says.
