We have been her before and loved it. But on New Year's we were the first to arrive and they didn't have our reservation for 12 ppl. We were seated at an awkward table in the back with awful lighting.
The service is slower, but we don't mind as long as everything else is good. The owner is very nice. Bottom line, the food was terrible. My girlfriends cod dinner wasn't even edible. The steaks were paper thin and bordering on a grey colour. It was truly disappointing and unfortunate.

I dined there with a party of 8, we all sat at a huge round table which was great. The decor was fabulous, the service was great; the host was very friendly and charming. The Seafood was to die for...I recommend the Seafood platter and the mussels. I will definately be returning.

My family and I went to Ventura's for dinner for the first time and were suprised to find such a quaint restaurant. The seafood was great, decor was original and very european and not to mention the amazing potuguese wine. I will definately return.

This is a great restaurant that I have vistited many times since coming to Hamilton six years ago. The food is authentic and delicious! The Grilled Calamari is always a favorite and we eat it every visit. The steamed and fried vegetables, while simple, are to die for! The service is at times quirky, but inevitably warm and entertaining.
