As a child, Pretty Little Things high-end consignment boutique owner Debbie Dalen adored lace. She would save bits of the delicately crocheted and twisted threads from her Grandmother’s fabric stash and sew them onto her socks and shirts. She’d then proudly show off her embellishments, parading around in her lace-fringed “granny boots.” Debbie’s affinity for frills remains. She likes how it tells stories and travels through time; catches rides in old credenzas, tags along on well-loved clothing and adorns the most cherished of bedspreads and tea towels. Debbie points out that lace has a way of linking everything together. It can protect the old, enhance the new and it connects generations. And that’s just what Pretty Little Things is all about. The boutique brings together generations of delicate, meaningful and carefully curated housewares and clothing.
