Theyre the most polite people and man do they make fantastic pizza, poutine and garlic bread. Id really love to give them a 5 star but my only complaint is the price and even though it might be steep you really do get what you pay for.Also recommend they go with loaf bread for the garlic bread the slices are great but I feel that the given 8 might be a tad slim and even if they have to up the price a tad for a loaf I guess thats fine as well. Great value good service and good portions. I often get the pasta package for one, minus the little dessert (way to full for it!!). Its only $15.99 & gets you an entire meal w/ drink too. we always have left overs cuz like most we end up filling up on salad, soup and that yummy warm endless garlic bread! We usually get a side of parm to butter n dip the bread in yum! I often order the pasta with half spicy arabata sauce and half bolognese and add veggies to the dish. I've now been to Pastaggio's 4 times and enjoyed each experience. Once with a friend, once with my boyfriend, and once with my mother. They all agreed with me that it was a great atmosphere with a delicious menu. The prices are reasonable and fair due to the great quality of the food. The only problem I found was that there was not enough parking but it is luckily located on Main Street so even if you have to park a little bit away from the restaurant, you can generally find somewhere! I visited Johnny's today because I know the owner and told him I would stop and try his pizza. I know he strives for excellent service and product (he has another business as well which is well looked after) and both of these today were outstanding. The pizza is hand made right before your eyes (he even wears the chefs hat!). It is cooked to perfection......the crust is ever so slightly crisp,light and airy..not heavy like a loaf of bread, the cheese melted just to a hint of brown in places. The store itself is small, and simple...one flat screen TV on the front wall, just loud enough to hear. He has about 6 square cafe tables some 4 seats some 2. A display case has a selection of huge slices for quick take out too. Prices are quite in line with the quality of the product, and his pies are bigger than others...his large is the other guys X-large! It's been years since I had been to an East Side's, as I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants. I was pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh, quick, and the service was good. The food wasn't as heavy and bland as I expected, but light and flavourful. I judged too quickly, and will give this place another shot when we crave some Italian. Lire plus
