As a Nova Scotianer, and someone who went to chef school, I have to say that Duffy's makes the best (haddock) fish and chips in the area if you don't feel like traveling to Sauble Beach. I know fish and chips. Grew up on the stuff. My uncles were all fishermen and their sons still are. Duffy's is REALL good. The wine spritzer was also excellent. The service was perfect. Lire plus

I can't see how anyone who visits this jewel, hidden in the corner of the plaza, would find any fault at all. I stumbled upon Dennis' little oasis about 5 years ago and it has become a weekly ritual. Jerk chicken is to die for. Ox tail is the best I have ever had for sure and the rice and peas stand up to any carribean resaurant in the GTA for sure. I have moved to Calgary and put my family as 1A and the Jerk Pit as 1B as things I miss the most. No Caribbean restaurant out here even compares. Lire plus

I'll try to keep this short and sweet (like my wife ha) but we will definitely, 100% be returning to this place. We were in recently and the staff were so nice. We made a day of it and took it all to the lake and it was so nice to be able to enjoy such nice foods. I'd just butcher the pronounciations and whatnot, but suffice to say, you should order a lot of the extras that they have, in addition to the roti, which itself is amazing. The goat was soft and tender, but gamey too. If you're not a real meat-enthusiast, you may wanna steer clear of goat and get something more pallette friendly, like chiken or the chickpea roti. The doubles, oh the doubles! A double, from the best I can tell, is like this little chickpea-dough crepe, that is filled with refried beans and then the whole shebang is deep fried. Yeah, it's pretty much heaven. It comes with this hot sauce that really cuts to your core, so be careful. You'll sweat, but as us chiliheads admit, that's what you want. There's also pholourie, which is like a timbit, but made of a lightly-spiced chickpea dough, and it's a really nice, chewie snack that is just amazing. Well, as you can tell, I'm getting hungry writing this, so I should probably stop. Regardless of that, you should definitely check this place out. They've been there a while and I hope they're there for a while longer too! Stu. Lire plus
