  • Tree Pruning

Pruning is done for a variety of reasons. Most pruning is aimed at improving structure and safety, or for controlling size. Other objectives can be to open vistas, repair storm damage, and provide clearance for structures and traffic. Good pruning includes removal of diseased, dying, or dead branches, crossing or rubbing branches, branches with thorns below eye level, sucker growth from rootstock, water sprouts from limbs, and other objectionable growth.

  • Tree Removal

It could be that your tree is encroaching on your property, either leaning on it, or growing into a hazardous position and you think removing it is your only option.

Sometimes it is possible to carry out remedial tree work so as to save the tree, which may also turn out to save you money. We understand the value of trees in our environment from both aesthetic and habitat point of view. Removal of any tree is always a last resortPruning and other options such as cabling and bracing are always considered first in order to mitigate the risks of the unhealthy tree.

  • Hedge Trimming

Pruning and trimming hedges is an essential gardening skill that involves removing the dead or overgrown stems, roots and branches on hedges, trees and shrubs. By trimming each year, it encourages healthier, thicker and more symmetrical growth of your plants.

  • Tree Planting

Proper tree planting and transplanting is often underestimated. If done incorrectly, it can impact the growth and longevity of your trees.

Our local professional arborists can help by evaluating several important factors: local weather conditions, regional pests and diseases, soil conditions and available space.

  • Stump Grinding & Removal

Aside from the aesthetics, or lack thereof, of leaving a stump on your property after a tree has fallen down or been cut for any reason, there are certain dangers of doing so. An old stump will eventually decay and can result in dangerous fungal growth, a spread of disease to the surrounding healthy plants, as well as becoming a potential home for unwanted pests. It also increases your risk of tripping and falling!

With the use of a stump grinder, we can rid you of these issues.  There are many factors to take into account, but usually stumps are ground 8”-12” below grade, and the exess “grindings” (pile of debris) produced are removed.  For best results, we can also top-dress and seed the removal site, blending it with the rest of your landscape.

  • Arborist Reporting

An arborist report is a detailed document prepared by a Certified Arborist. It evaluates the health, condition, and structural integrity of a tree or group of trees. The report provides insights into potential risks, necessary treatments, and recommendations for tree care and maintenance.

  • Lot Clearing

As our population increases, it is getting more and more common to need lot clearing services to prepare once nature-claimed land for building purposes. Clearing lots for a future building is no simple task. It requires not only the clearing of brush and surface growth, but also the removal of large trees, roots, and stumps. All debris must be processed and/or removed. Finally, the land is levelled in preparation to build. Lot clearing typically involves a knowledgeable team over a period of time. A timeline for lot clearing depends on the size of the team and the start condition of the lot. Naturally, some jobs require more work than others.

What Our Clients are Saying.

  • Nick and his crew took down many trees of various sizes in our backyard. We thought it would take a few days but they were able to get it done in one day! Furthermore, the work was done professionally which is a rare trait to find these days with services rendered and their rates were very reasonable. Many thanks to Nick and Green Leaf Services!

  • Nick and his team did an incredible job at our property! Very friendly bunch. We had a few trees rotting and Nick recommended we take care of them before they could cause damage to our house in the future. Our little home looks bigger now with the trees gone and especially since they were also rotting away. Nick was kind enough to save us some firewood and have it all chopped up into nice pieces for our fireplace. Thank you so much! Highly recommend to everyone :)

  • I recently had a large tree removed from my property by Nick and his crew from GreenLeaf, and I couldn't be more impressed with their work! From start to finish, the entire process was seamless, professional, and stress-free. Nick was incredibly knowledgeable, providing clear explanations and recommendations during the initial consultation. He and his team arrived right on time, and their attention to detail was evident from the moment they started. They worked efficiently and safely, taking great care to ensure that everything was done perfectly. What truly stood out to me was the team's respect for my property. They took the time to protect my lawn and garden, and after the tree was removed, they left everything spotless – you wouldn't even know they had been there! It's rare to find a company that combines expertise, professionalism, and courtesy, but Nick and the GreenLeaf crew did just that. I highly recommend GreenLeaf to anyone needing tree services. Nick and his team exceeded all my expectations, and I'm thrilled with the results. Thank you, GreenLeaf, for a job exceptionally well done!
