I've been to various Sushi places in the GTA area, and i would say this is the best place in terms of sushi quality. The fish is really fresh and it is sliced in a very nice way. The entire presentation makes it very pleasant experience.
It is definitely more expensive than some of the other sushi places in Toronto. However, the quality of the sushi definitely makes it worth to pay the extra.
Definitely NOT your run-of-the-mill sushi joint which seem to litter every Toronto block!
Decor is tastefully minimalist, with dark chocolate floors and walls. I went for lunch, so I can only imagine that it would be a romantic spot for dinner. Gentleman, take note!
Salad came with a delicious, non-vinegarette based dressing. It was leaning more on the soy sauce+garlic side, as opposed to the overdone orange juice+vinegar. I prefer this savoury dressing!
Attention was paid to presentation of the sushi. (We ordered Sushi Lunch - $16, Philly Roll - $8, & Madai (Chef's Choice) Nigiri - $8.) Very delicate decoration on select nigiri pieces, wasabi was a smaller dab, as opposed to glob, and pickled ginger was white, not pink.
Everything was very fresh, no "questionable" seafood. Absolutely delicious, for people who are able to appreciate a subtle, more delicate palate!
