Marc Rozender has been a foodie since his teens. When he returned to Canada after working in airline marketing in Europe for years, he would often sit at his apartment window above Roncesvalles Avenue, watching the crowds enjoying all the specialty stores. It wasn’t long before he was wondering where on earth the cheese shop was. So Marc hit the streets and did his own market research, asking people in the neighbourhood if they’d like a local source for the best Brie, Halloumi, Gruyere and Riopelle. His feedback was a resounding “yes,” and in 2006, Marc opened Thin Blue Line Cheese, Ronsecavalles’ first rate cheese shop.
