Amir Fishman has always loved the outdoors. During summers when he was growing up, he was outside every chance he got. By university, he was working at a summer camp to help pay tuition. One day, he was chatting about his work with his university roommate when they came up with a plan together. “We started talking about how we could turn my tripping experience into a summer job for the both of us,” says Amir. “Eventually, I was taking different courses to help with the outdoor adventure side of things, and my business partner, Eric [Plant], was working to turn that into a solid business. Now, we put together wicked trips that people really seem to love”
Amir and Eric run Overhang Adventures Inc., with the intent to share the wonder of Canada’s beautiful landscape with those who otherwise wouldn’t have the opportunity to do so on their own. They offer a number of services, such as certification and training courses, rock climbing, canoe and backpacking and backcountry camping.
