My family loves this place (8 adults), as we enjoyed this dinner with family from out of town and country. Even with such a large party food was tasty and hot (and very inexpensive). The family from out of country throughly enjoyed themselves.
We were so full we couldn't even fit dessert in!
If I HAVE to make a "non-postive" note, the waitness was alittle unorganized when taking orders - but only when taking orders!
My wife and I have been steady regulars ever since they openned, 25 years ago. During the past 2-3 years, and especially this year, the waitress service has been totally awful ! Our last visit will definitely be the final one. Our waitress took our order, and after ten minutes our salad arrived. We had to find her and remind her that we would like our wine too. She grumbled something and walked away; came back with our carafe and said she was sorry and busy; even though when I prompted her for our wine, she was drinking a glass of sodawater at the bar. Our pizza arrived about 20 minutes later, and our garlic bread (which we expected to eat with our salad) was nowhere to be found. The garlic bread arrived about five minutes later, and we summoned the waitress to take it off of our bill, as we did not wish to eat it with our pizza. She apologized again and said she wasn't feeling well. She was also dressed pretty bad for a waitress, with a baggy,wrinkled red t-shirt with some team numbers on it.....something maybe the dishwasher would wear, but not a waitress in the public eye. We ate our pizza, and decided to skip our regular espresso/capucino orders, as we decided this place is not worth coming back to anymore. I left a 10% tip, which is way too high, but that's the very last time we go there.
The wait staff all seem to be borderline too young to serve alcohol; as well the staff turnover seems to be constant, as the wait staff experience level is terrible.
After numerious lunch hour visits to Mamma Martinos with clients and friends I decided to bring the family for dinner. It happened to be a Saturday and yes I expected to line up. The restaurant has a covered area outside during the winter so that you don't freeze and you get a chance to talk with all the others that are there just to enjoy a good meal. When inside (took about 45 minutes) we were escorted to the atrium area and seated. Service was great and the food even better. The family (all adults) throughly enjoyed the evening and said that they would love to come back. If I am going to be fair with my evaluation I need to point out the only negative part of the evening and that was the man clearing our table. Very rude and lacked the personality required when dealing with the public. By the way, I have been back many times since and enjoyed the experience everythime. Hope you have a great experience as well.
My friends have eaten several times at MM and they thought the food and service were not great, but decided to give it another whirl. Food wasn't too bad this time, however, service was extremely slow and waitress was rude. Served two of us first and the third person had to wait for a sandwhich. How long could it possibly take to make a sandwhich? When we asked the waitress how long it would be as we were on limited time, she replied "so is everyone". There was no tip for this lady and we aren't going again. Definitely not what I call "Italian Food", just cheap cafeteria style food.
