Over the years, have been here many times and it's good, average pub fare. Hadn't been there in awhile, and this time with myself + 2 others - was disappointing. Asked for Kilkenny draught - waitress says don't have, & listed off standard bland & disappointing offerings (Canadian, Coors, Rickards, etc). Eventually got other names out of her, and ordered those. Fish & chips was apparently pretty good. Tasty fries. Malt & white vinegar available on table - good. Curries were bland (not at all spicy), heavy on the potato chunks and served with a folded pita, sticky white rice & a little salad greens with a 'salsa' dressing(which I believe was actually a quite-tasty bruschetta topping). The best part of the meal was the salsa. There was quite a lot of food there, but I would not order the curry again. Waitress took away the fish & chip plate that still had 1/4 the fries on it without asking if it was done. One of the curry-eaters was not done and the fries were being picked-at & shared so that the 2nd curry eater wouldn't be eating alone. Ordered coffees & dessert, which we split (using coffee spoons as the waitress did not ask or offer if it was to be shared). Coffees came with 4 single-serve UHT cream & milks EACH. Crazy! My fridge is now well stocked. Total bill: just under $50. Didn't feel it was worth it.
