The first thing you'll notice when you enter Chocolate Arts is the delicious smell of chocolate! "We make everything here on the premises," explains owner Greg Hook. "We're located on a non-shopping street and that lets us have a larger footprint for our manufacturing area." Greg and his team also offer classes in chocolate-making in the kitchen as well as chocolate tasting and light lunches in the Chocolate Arts café.
Open since 1992, Chocolate Arts takes raw chocolate from suppliers in Belgium and France and creates delicacies filled with locally grown fruit or produce. "We buy 10 different varieties of chocolate and use different chocolates for different purposes," says Greg. "Our focus is to use as much organic, local fruit as possible in our creations. We work hard to make sure that when you bite into one of our chocolates, you can immediately identify the flavour."
