Used the YellowPages.ca to find a restuarant close to our current location (Royal Columbian Hospital) and Gino's popped up, so we decided to try it out.
We weren't sure because it wasn't very busy, but it was still early...anyways, the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the friendliest staff encountered in a long while. That made our decision for us!
We sat outside on the patio, which made for some entertainment on Columbia Street! The patio is a good size and was nice. The food and drink specials change every night, but all were great deals! The pasta special on Tuesday nights is incredible. The salads we started with had a wonderful balsamic reduction on them. We each tried something different for dinner, from pasta, to chicken to ribs - all were good and the portion size is huge! We all had to-go containers when we left.
Really, this is one of those restaurants with a menu that pleases a wide-range of people. It's not somewhere you would really go if you're looking for a higher-class night out, it's more something our parents and grandparents would eat at...but if you're hungry, on a budget and looking for something tasty, this place has it. And the service should win you over!
