As a youngster, all Annie Graham cared about were horses; dressage was her favourite activity of choice. Perhaps it’s somewhat surprising then that, a few decades later, the native Calgarian opened up XO Treatment Room along Calgary’s 1st Street SW. But Annie says opening an “age-defying spa,” as XO Treatment Room’s tagline reads, isn’t as much of a stretch as one may think. “I was never into makeup or hair, but I always felt that if my skin looked good, I could get away with not doing much else,” she explains.
In keeping with that philosophy, XO Treatment Room, which opened its doors in 2015, is dedicated to skin maintenance. It offers a treatment that erases sun damage and uneven pigmentation with intense pulsed light (IPL) technologies, a procedure that tightens the jaw line and eye area with the Titan infrared dermal heating device, as well as several collagen-stimulating and line-erasing laser treatments and skin peels.
One of Annie’s favourite treatments is the one involving dermal heating, which she has named “Titan Up.” “It’s great for tightening up the eyelid area to prevent droop, and it’s a great way to go if you’re not quite ready for Botox. Also, it works well on nasolabial folds,” she says.
