Since 1987, Faith Cathcart has combined all of her passions into one successful beauty business called Design Freedom. “I’ve travelled the world, so my salon has influences from all around the world," says Faith. "I try to bring that information and fun back to my clients.”
Her trips overseas have influenced her view of the world. She passes on what she has learned while working at orphanages in Burkina Faso or hiking in Machu Picchu to her clients. “When I come back I tell people how life is in other cultures and how fortunate we are here. People like that and they are interested in how things are different. You can talk to them about that,” she explains.
These experiences may not necessarily be related to hair, but they help to create the personable touch Faith has with her clients at Design Freedom. “When you have clients for as long as I have, sometimes you’re not just talking about hair you are talking about things in life as well," she says. "You get to know them really well, you become their friend.”
