I asked John to invent a way to enlarge my dining room table for Christmas dinner. I did not want him to make another leaf because this is a beautiful old rosewood table, and cranking it open and closed is a lot of work. So John invented and created a plywood top that extends 18 inches past both ends of the table, and now my dining room looks like Downton Abbey. Ingenious! Without Downton Abbey prices.

I cannot say enough about this business. When going through "old" papers about a month ago I ran across a work order from 1996 when I had taken an antique chair to Finishing Traditions to be repaired. During the course of 20 years and a few moves the chair had been forgotten. Before I shredded the work order I took a chance and contacted John to confirm that "the chair was no longer". I was more than surprised to get a return email from him to say that the chair was still in his shop. Wow!!

I have used Finishing Traditions for all my refinishing needs. I had 2 side tables, and one got damaged, but when he finished, I couldn't tell the difference between the two-they matched perfectly! They are honest, fair, and reasonably priced. I wouldn't go to anyone else! And nice people, too!
