this company has been cancelling my gas service with the provider i have and automatically opening an account , i have to call enmax everymonth for the last 6 monthsto cancel the cancelation . this place is a legit scam stay away from this company!
Terrible communication. Too long to explain. But I am out 198.39 because someone else cashed a credit that was meant for my family. I am going to Epcore as soon as this matter is cleared up. Terrible, terrible customer service.
"Customer service" are you kidding me. After 2 days of speaking with a representative in Guatemala I never did resolve our issue! We cancelled the service moved to a different supplier and now have a collection blemish on our bureau report, because "Direct Energy" applied our payment to a different account that now has a credit! Obviously these reviews fall on deaf ears because there is nothing but complaint after complaint and the big utililty company has no concern of there public image!
The lamest customer services one can ever receive. I would have rated them negative 5 however, there is no option. The most horrible experience I have ever had with any company. The cust services don’t listen or understand, would put you on hold for ages and sometimes won't even come back. Charged my credit card twice for the final bill and still would not connect me to someone who could resolve this. Would never ever go with these guys again.
Avoid avoid avoid. There are better options available. I pay my bills on time every month and have for many years. I recently moved. Canceled my service on February 16th. On Februar 25 I receive a letter from this company dated February 16 reading "Final Notice. Your account will be refereed to a collection agency". "Amount due $35.33". I called to make the payment and ask why they feel the need to send threatening letters. She told me it was "automatic". AVOID AVOID AVOID. Use other options.
Avoid if you can! I've had the worst experience with this company. Called to hook up my gas in October, they declined me and never informed me. I called to figure out why I hadn't had a bill yet, and was informed they haven't hooked it up due to they put in the wrong address. After hooking up my gas they over charged me, and sent me two bill within days off each other stating my bill was over due and asking for more money.

Absolutely the worst experience I have had as a new customer. The website is awful to find a phone number, when you do find a phone number, it puts you in a loop that has no method of finding a real person to talk to. Received wrong information upon sign up regarding deposits. Their "welcome to Direct Energy" letter looks like a demand for payment. All in all horrible.
